Hertfordshire is a small county located close to London, with prominent towns being Herford, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead. Although we’re a small county we are rich in history, attractions, fantastic festivals and of course our food! Hertfordshire comprises of 10 districts, and here at Hog Roast Luton we make sure we cover all of them, from the Three Rivers to North Hertfordshire. Throughout these ten districts a lot of delicious and also some slightly weird food can be found, for example Braughing Sausages, this consists of pork sausage with subtle herbs and very lightly spiced, perfect for breakfast! Gentleman’s Relish is a little bit weirder as it contains anchovies, butter, herbs and spices and turned into a paste… great with scrambled eggs and topped on jacket potatoes. We pack a lot in here in Hertfordshire, if you live in this glorious county you’ll know how many attractions there are, and if you’re visiting let me tell you about a few of our most famous… for example our Snow Centre based in Hemel Hempstead, great for learning all about indoor skiing. If that doesn’t appeal to you why not check out the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Watford, famous for being the facility where the Harry Potter movies were made! The world would also be a very different place if Hertfordshire didn’t exist, as we created the first roundabout, the hot cross bun, the iPod, the pub and even doughnuts… I don’t know about you but I couldn’t live in a world without doughnuts!
