Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The event was a great success thank you. Here is my feedback….

We booked The Spitting Pig Hog Roast for my son’s wedding celebration on 30th December. They married in Hawaii in August in Hawaii and now live in New Zealand. I was quite nervous as I was co-ordinating it all in the UK and the hog-roast was my son’s idea (in December!)

From the moment I booked it, the communication with Kate at Spitting Pig was first class and she went out of her way to reassure me and give me hints and tips. Then there was the wonderful Darren! Darren called me soon after I made the booking and was SO helpful and reassuring, again, with plenty of suggestions about quantities and the location of the hog roast. He then called me 2 more times, once the day before the event to discuss the location. Communication, again, was superb. My son called Darren and his comment was ‘what a lovely guy!’.

The hog roast itself was SUPERB!! Positioned just outside the entrance in the end which worked really well actually. Honestly I can find no areas for improvement!. The pork was delicious, the crackling was crunchy, the rolls were fresh and the apple sauce and coleslaw delicious. Everyone said that Darren was super chatty and friendly and really made the event super special. Darren and his wife did an amazing job, took everything in their stride and were very friendly. I would highly recommend them and would use you again in a heartbeat! THANK YOU!!

I was fortunate enough to book with your company for my wife’s 40^th birthday from the moment I spoke you guys were extremely pleasant, friendly, and adaptable for certain requirements we needed and asked for. Nothing was too much work or trouble and I really appreciated that as we did have a few fussy eaters in our party.

Team who came and served were fabulous and made us feel so comfortable and looked after and service with smiles throughout even in the sweltering heat.

Every bit of food that got served was LUSCIOUS!!!!!!!!

I had some food provided by Spitting Pig at my daughter’s house warming and now I can’t wait to book you guys in for a future event. The BBQ menu was amazing and perfect for the party with lots of choice available. My husband, a veggie, was also pleased with the options with enough to keep him full! Definitely a huge success!

We were hesitant at allowing outside catering at my husband’s 40^th due to severe allergies within our family such as nuts and one coeliac but I highly recommend Spitting Pig Hertfordshire to anyone looking at booking outside caterers. I can’t thank spitting pigs I believe he’s called Dale (sorry if I got this wrong) who came and made our day so special.

He helped tidy away and made up rolls for our evening guests with all the leftovers which we did not expect and saved us loads of time in the evening. His service and hospitality was beyond brilliant however on the day I can’t apologise enough I barely saw him!!

Recently booked for Spitting Pig Hertfordshire to cater my wedding and I can hands down say it was one of the best decisions I made surrounding the day. The team made it as stress free as possible by setting up, cooking and clearing everything for us. The hog roast was sublime but my favourite part was the antipasti platters! Amazing! Would highly recommend.

A friend suggested we try Hog Roast Tottenhoe for my 30th birthday party catering. Initially, we didn’t want to, since my husband doesn’t eat pork for religious reasons. But once the friend sent us a link to all of their menus, we knew we’d be able to find an option for us with them. They had so may vegetarian and vegan alternatives and were pleasantly surprised when they said over the phone that they can easily keep pork products out of their catering for us and build us a bespoke buffet menu, meaning my husband wasn’t limited to just veggie options after all! They were so accommodating and we couldn’t be happier. Don’t let their name fool you, they can do so much more than just hog roasts!

We had a basic hog roast package dropped off at our office and so glad we did! Just what the staff needed after a busy start to the year.

The carvery is highly recommended. The meat was fantastic and portion sizes were a proper meal not a starter (everyone was full). Feed 30 of us on his own and we couldn’t be happier. Brilliant service from booking to catering. Book this company and you will not be left disappointed.

Hi, I am really sorry I haven’t replied sooner.

My party was such a lovely night. The food was amazing and people are still commenting on what a brilliant hog roast I had even today over a month later.  The whole set up was very professional and Richard (I am sure it was Richard), who was on his own for a while absolutely did you proud.  He helped put up gazebos, he gave my brother an opportunity to talk endlessly about his passion for hydroponics and he was interested in everything that people talked to him about.

I honestly wasn’t expecting to enjoy the night as much as I did as I hate to be the centre of attention, but the fact that you were able to cater for me to be in my own space made so much difference.

Truly one of the very best nights I have had and not least because of the great contribution by you.  I am attaching a photo of the hog just before it was cut up.

Thank you so much.  I have already tried to persuade a number of people to change their catering to include you instead, but I will keep going and am sure that someone will be using you as a result of the party at my house (and my badgering).

You organised a great spit roast summer party a couple of summers ago for us which we were really pleased with but this was so much better!

Steve and his team worked so hard and unobtrusively and lots of our guests commented on how good the food was.

We felt that Steve understood the theming of our 1950’s party and entered into the spirit and made some great suggestions for the menu, thinking of vegetarian options which I had overlooked.

All in all great value for money and we will definitely be using your company in the future and have no hesitation in recommending you to our friends.
