For an event caterer like Hog Roast St Albans, when it is summer season, it is wedding season. Most of our weekends from here on out are taken up by weddings. Most of the events that you’ll see our social team posting about are weddings currently. Most of the very blogs you are reading here will be covering excellent wedding events we have attended, and others we still have to come. Our sourcing team are working round the clock to keep the best meats and ingredients coming for each and every wedding.
It’s wedding season right the way round the clock, and this past weekend was no different!
This time we would like to tell you about the lovely Lewis and Abby, who tied the knot at the beautiful Beaumon Hall here in St Albans. A brilliant venue for a brilliant couple and occasion; everyone was out in their very best dress for an exceptional sunny afternoon where the Hog Roast St Albans team prepared a feast befitting of the specialness of the day.
While the traditional ceremonies took place over the afternoon, head chefs Darren and Claire of Hog Roast St Albans spent their time in the sun not soaking up some rays, but rather upping the heat with the prep for our exceptional southern slow roast menu. With the heatwave oncoming further into the week across the Hertfordshire, guests of Lewis and Abby caught an early preview of the heat to come thanks in part to the smoky and spicy flavours of our Cajun spiced chicken thighs, our 24 hour Texas style beef brisket, and our signature pulled pork, pulled direct from our authentically made hog roast. Our southern slow roast menu provides a further assortment of smoky hickory bourbon barbecue sauces and our lethal hot pepper sauce – for those looking to really play with fire.
But, to help cool things down as the evening settled into a cooler temp and guests came out for their Hog Roast St Albans meal, our sides of creamy mac and cheese, buttered corn cobettes, halloumi skewers, and baby new potatoes certainly sufficed.
Our thanks and congratulations go to Lewis and Abby once more for including Hog Roast St Albans in their special day!
