We recently got an exciting phone call from Jessica, who was on a mission to make her boyfriend Aiden’s 40th birthday truly unforgettable. She wanted to show Aiden just how much he means to her, and what better way to say “I love you” than with a surprise party? But hold onto your legwarmers, folks, because this wasn’t just any party—it was an 80s-themed extravaganza!
Jessica went all out to throw an epic bash that paid homage to Aiden’s birth era. She organised a retro-themed photo booth, booked a live band to blast 80s hits, and set a dress code that had guests decked out in their finest 80s ensembles. We’re talking teased and crimped hair, neon leg warmers, lycra, denim on denim, and sportswear galore. Over 100 guests were in on the surprise, and miraculously, no one let slip a single hint to Aiden!
Jessica found the perfect venue, complete with disco balls and party lighting, to host her shindig. But there was one more thing she needed to ensure the party was out of this world: a killer menu! Knowing Hog Roast Tea Green’s reputation for serving stellar meals, Jessica asked us to handle the catering, and we were excited to deliver. The party took place on Saturday, and our catering manager, Darren, was ready to dazzle the crowd with our BBQ Menu! Using fresh, local free-range meats, he and the team fired up handmade gourmet sausages, 100% British beef burgers, juicy chicken kebabs, and finger-lickin’ spareribs. For the veggie lovers, we added delicious veggie burgers and plant-based sausages.
Darren also prepared a delectable display of sides, including pasta salad with mixed roasted vegetables, Greek salad, and a mix of traditional and sweet potato fries. An army of condiments stood ready, alongside baskets of gluten-free and wholemeal rolls and wraps, giving guests the freedom to create their perfect plate. Thanks to Hog Roast Tea Green’s impeccable timing, this feast was ready to roll as soon as the party kicked off! Guests didn’t waste a second before diving in. Plates were piled high, and the party was officially in full swing. Aiden was completely floored by the surprise. He couldn’t believe Jessica had managed to pull off such an amazing event without him having a clue! Surrounded by loved ones, grooving to great music, and Hog Roast Tea Green’s delicious food, Aiden’s 40th was nothing short of legendary!
