Steph and Mark were first introduced to Hog Roast Harpenden’s catering at a wedding fair in 2024. The couple sampled some of our dishes and fell in love with our succulent slow-roast menu. They hired us on the spot for the wedding, which was set to take place in March 2025. This is our favourite way to meet customers, and our catering managers Darren and Lyndsey were eager to get involved. The pair had planned the perfect spring wedding, which was set to take place at a beautiful countryside venue in Hertfordshire. Our team needed to serve our catering to 120 guests, and we were ready to do all we could to make this the perfect wedding day for the lovely couple!
When the day of the wedding arrived, the couple were blessed with a beautiful blue sky and plenty of sunshine, which was unexpected after almost a week of wind and rain. This was the best news that the couple could have wanted, and it was the perfect sign that their wedding day was sure to be a success. For the catering, our team served a classic slow-roasted hog in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. We also provided homemade chips, halloumi and vegetable skewers, gourmet coleslaw, a green leaf salad, and a tasty pasta salad, to create a balanced and hearty menu. Our catering went down a treat with the guests and it was great to see the couple enjoying their wonderful wedding day!
