Hog Roast Letchworth Garden City can officially start talking about the ‘C’ word. For some, it will be too early to even think about it all but for Hog Roast Letchworth Garden City, the Christmas bookings are making an appearance and all the team are super excited about it.
For Hog Roast Letchworth Garden City, the first festive stop is their local light switch on! They have been invited to have prime spot and offer some delicious festive food and non-alcoholic mulled wine.
Catering manager Daniel and his team arrived in the centre for midday ready for the festivities to begin at 3pm. They were asked to arrive promptly and set up quickly to allow for the traffic in and out of the narrow, yet beautiful cobbled street.
Once Daniel was set up, he started to prep the festive inspired menu. Rather than a full festive meal, Daniel and been asked to serve Turkey and stuffing baps with the option of cranberry sauce. Daniel prepped the Turkey crowns with sprigs of rosemary, cracked black pepper and rock salt before putting them into roast for 4 hours. Natalia who had booked Hog Roast Letchworth Garden City wanted the Turkey serving from 4pm, since the fun started from 3pm, Daniel persuaded Natalia to serve mince pies with the non-alcoholic mulled wine from 3pm. They had agreed on 150 covers for the Turkey baps and 300 covers for the mince pies and non-alcoholic mulled wine.
The non-alcoholic mulled wine went down a storm by the public, many parents were grateful that they could enjoy the festive favourite while looking after their children and still be able to drive home.
There was a fantastic atmosphere as excited children counted down for the lights to be switched on. Who better than the man himself to switch them on?! Santa did a magnificent job, the big tree in the middle looked particularly magical. If people were not in the Christmas spirit before that night, then they suddenly were going to be after!
The Turkey was exceptionally juicy, and Daniel received many compliments about how tender it was with one man stating that he had “made the driest meat on the planet incredibly moist”.
