Hog Roast Bromham was recently hired to cater a karate grading ceremony. The karate club wanted a way to celebrate the successes of their young adult members. The 20 students and their 3 teachers were the lucky guests who would get to enjoy a Hog Roast Bromham buffet!
The client that worked with the team was Karate Club leader Aaron. He worked closely with the team to devise a menu that would appeal to all the students and give them a sense of celebration and confidence in the new levels that many of them will have achieved.
Due to COVID restrictions Chef Steve from the Hog Roast Bromham team would have to prepare and serve the buffet outside the Sports Hall venue. But that wasn’t a problem. Catering Manager Steve arrived at the Sports Hall to set up the equipment several hours before the 5pm serving time.
Every single dish for the buffet was made fresh on site at the venue by experienced Chef Steve. These dishes included the delights of a Classic Hog Roast, which was a perfectly scored and sizzled pig that was served with crispy crackling, apple sauce and homemade sage and onion stuffing. Alongside the Classic Hog Roast there was a basket of assorted bread rolls and dips and sauces, which were for everyone to enjoy. Also on offer at the buffet was a large platter of grilled vegetable and halloumi wraps and delicious BBQ pulled jackfruit! Finally there was a small mountain of sweet potato fries and a bowl of Classic Cesar salad.
Once the buffet had been eaten by the celebrating students and teachers Chef Steve quietly tidied away. He took all the rubbish off site to dispose of responsibly. He also took the wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery away from site too, for the team to wash and reuse at future events.
The whole event was one that had a marvellous energy. The students and teachers enjoyed their celebration together and client Aaron sent his thanks to the team and left a great review, promising that there will be future events where the Club hires the team.
