A Hog Roast Standon hog roast feast could be just what you need to wow your guests no end while saving a pretty penny too, as our prices may well surprise you. Especially for large numbers, a hog roast goes a long way to feed your guests plenty of tender, moist meat and salty, crunchy crackling, after sizzling away for hours on end directly at your venue, and whether you choose to have pigs in buns (our version of hog roast rolls) served or a plated meal together with fresh veg, potatoes and all the trimmings, we’re sure that your party or event will be the talk of the town for a long time to come afterwards.
Nevertheless, Hog Roast Standon also offers plenty of additional and alternative options, as we realise the need for choice and variety these days. You may need to ensure that guests on special diets can enjoy our food too or perhaps you’d like a different meat served, like spit-roasted lamb, beef, chicken or turkey. You may be thinking of one of our speciality menus, like our three-main, four-sides Southern Slow Roast, where we marinate your chosen meats in advance and cook slowly on the day, or our Loaded Fries, which gives you fresh-cooked fries smothered in meat, slaw and melting cheese. In terms of additional food, it may be that you want a multiple-course menu served on the day, with your choice of canapés, starters, sides and desserts, and you can select one course or several; it’s all up to you!
When our dedicated Hog Roast Standon chef and catering assistants catered a large private party over the weekend, it was with a hog that cooked outside for six hours, filling the air with distinctive aromas and making mouths water, as well as with several sides and a vegan option. The meat and crackling filled bread rolls and wraps together with our homemade apple sauce and stuffing to make lots of yummy pigs in buns, while a dairy-free mac and cheese, sweet potato wedges, corn cobettes and coleslaw completed the great feast, and by 5pm, it was time for everyone to dig in.
