We are extremely proud in what we do at Hog Roast Heronsgate! For over thirty years we have been in business and can say each year we get stronger and stronger. Loyal customers come back to us time and time again. We receive fantastic feed back and great reviews to which we are so thankful for.
We were catering in our hometown at the weekend for one of our most loyal customers Jackie. Jackie has a dog grooming business and is always holding open days at her business and always calls upon us to cater for her. Having just had had a full new refurbishment and had been closed for a month or so she was inviting her regulars over to show off her new shop. When we arrived we were given a tour and highly impressed. We set up shop and began to cook. We placed a lovely piece of lamb on the machine to cook, which we would cut into slices and place into sandwiches we made a lovely tangy mint sauce to go with the lamb and roasted some vegetable skewers on the smaller machine. We placed tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber and courgettes in bowls and placed pots of honey and mustard dip and garlic dips on the tables. Jackie was pottering around the shop putting her finishing touches to it and telling us how amazing the smell of the lamb was and how hungry it was making her feel!
At one o’clock Jackie opened the doors and everyone came flooding in she gave them the guided tour and they all had their dogs with them and they dogs were trying to get over to us! We felt we were teasing them with the lamb. The dogs went into the yard for a run about as the guests ate lunch the lamb was so moist and tender and just fell of the bone. The guests helped themselves and all were telling us how amazing the Hog Roast Heronsgate food tasted. The buns were soft and still a touch warm as they had just been freshly baked. There was a little lamb left over so we shredded the lamb placed it in a large bowl and gave the dogs a treat! And within seconds it was gone we have to say they were the hungriest guests ever and a lovely day was had by all especially the dogs.
