It’s not easy turning 50 – many of us dread it for a decade or more as it creeps on closer and closer –, but turning 50 never looked so good or as easy than it did with Hog Roast Chingford customer, Michelle, just last weekend at Chingford Rugby Club.
To the contrary, Michelle took her 50th birthday in stride and delighted in organising a big lavish party for all her friends and family. To aid in her excellent celebrations, she came to the only caterers worth having for such a party: Darren and Lyndsey at Hog Roast Chingford! We were delighted to take part in such a celebration; plenty of guests, an excellent venue, a perfect reason to celebrate, and some much-needed comforting foods for an otherwise dreary night in Chingford.
While the weather evidently didn’t get the memo on the kind of night we would be celebrating with Michelle, every guest certainly did as they turned out in numbers, and in style with a readiness to dine and party. Fortunately, Hog Roast Chingford were also more than ready as we had one of our famous hog roasts on the go, hot, fresh and ready for roll and wrap fillings to warm up a cold and drizzly night. Our colourful “summer” salads and slaw also helped to brighten up an otherwise damp and cold night as they provided the perfect accompaniment along with our herb dressed new potatoes for guest’s pork roasts. We served buffet style just outside the venue under our marquee serving tent so that guests could stay warm and dry as they came out to pick as much food as they like with the help of Darren and Lyndsey to serve and talk through any foods required. Part of the perks of the job is that we get to chat to so many incredible people, so we had a blast speaking to many of Michelle’s friends and family, along with Michelle herself, of course!
